Lets play a game with your child.
Write the first part of a letter. For example: The letter ( A ) has three lines. Draw the first line and see if your child can guess the letter. If he/she needs another hint draw another line for the ( A ). If he/she still doesn’t know the letter ( A ) then by drawing the third line you are creating the letter and he/she has lost but if they can guess before the last part of the letter is drawn then they win.
I have used this to help my 6 year old with his letters and homework for school. Instead of telling him the answer everytime he asks, this way he can learn a creative way.
