French Onion Pot Roast Recipe

I love making this in the morning before church and then having it ready for a good Sunday Supper. You can also have French Dip sandwiches for leftovers.

What you need:
6 small red potatoes, cut in half
4 medium carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 large onion cut in slices
1/4 tsp. salt
1- 4lb. chuck roast
1/2 tsp. pepper
1- 10 3/4 can condensed French onion soup
1- 10 3/4 can golden mushroom
1/2 cup water

How to make:
1.Place carrots, red potatoes, and onion in crock pot. Place the uncooked roast on top of veggies.
2.Poke holes in roast for flavor to set.
3.In a separate bowl mix french onion soup, mushroom soup, water, salt, and pepper.
4. Pour mixture over roast.
5. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. Reduce heat and cook for 7 more hours or until tender.
6. Remove roast and veggies from crock pot. Skim off the fat from the cooking juices.
7. Pour cooking juices over roast and veggies.

Serve over rice.
