Guest Post: Toy Review

I just wanted to let you know about the Leap Frog learning videotapes. Every time I get into a conversation about my kids and learning, I always tell others about: The Letter Factory, The Talking Words Factory, and The Learn to Read at the Storybook Factory. These tapes are awesome! Now I’m not a big fan of kids watching a lot of television; but I will put this one on as many times as they want to watch it. Each video is a cartoon, and has catchy songs to help kids learn.

The Letter Factory- teaches kids the alphabet as well as the phonics of each letter.

The Talking Words Factory- builds on, they learn sticky letters (vowels) and they also learn how to blend. For example: (ST) in STOP or (FR) in FROG.

The learn to Read at the Storybook Factory- the child at this point knows how to read words, so they teach them punctuations and what each of them do in a story setting. Basically they learn how to read a story at loud.

I love these videos and I would recommend them to any parent.
